Facebook To Add Trending Topics Like Twitter

Facebook is reported to include trending topics along with the News Feed on the home screen. “Trending” as Facebook calls it, will show a personalized list of popular topics for every user, based on their interests the content getting the most attention across the Facebook.

 

The trends will show a short description and the content when clicked upon. The trending topics will be calculated upon the rising popularity of that topic. The topics which are on top daily will not necessarily be considered trending.
Facebook will start adding this feature from Thurdsday and will be available on Web version of Facebook.
