British Superstar Bad News Barrett
crowned Inter-Continental champ, Daniel Bryan retains his WWE World Title
Lancashire-born star Bad News Barrett became a four-time WWE Intercontinental champion last night after dethroning Big E at WWE Extreme Rules.
The 33-year-old claimed the title after clonking E - who had held the strap since November - with his Bull Hammer Elbow finishing move.
Speaking backstage, a jubilant Barrett gloated: "How bloody good was I out there? There aren't many people who can say they're a four time champ!
"I've got a Bull Hammer for everybody - and tonight it was Big E's turn."
Elsewhere, WWE World champion Daniel Bryan saw off the challenge of his former tag partner Kane in a wild main event and Bray Wyatt defeated perennial fan favourite John Cena in a cage match.
The UK was also represented with Divas champion submitting Tamina Snuka.
